Early Polaroid Cameras:
UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
First generation "autofocus" Polaroid cameras employed ultrasonic
rangefinding units in order to perform autofocussing of cameras.
Although this technique has generally been abandoned, these units
are still available and provide an accurate means of range detection.
These units, available for around $50 each, are also relatively
easy to interface to microcontrollers.
